Good news!
"White Mountain" will be released in Sweden through Border Music on April 23rd. To support the release we'll be playing a gig at Debaser Slussen on April 9th with a local talent Palpitation. More info on Debaser.se.

"Kiki Pau är ett av vårens mest omtalade hypeband i bloggsfären. Kvartetten kommer från Helsingfors i Finland och blandar T. Rex med lo-fi-rock som Guided By Voices och Pavement. De ekar även av Morrissey-rockabilly, vilket för tankarna till landsmännen Cats on Fire.
Deras debutalbum charmade webbfanzinevärlden och de fick toppbetyget 9/10 på It’s a Trap och älskades sönder av Panda Magazine i Sverige. Deras första singel ”An Old Song” från kommande uppföljaren ”White Mountain” gjorde dem nyligen till ett av de 10 mest omskrivna banden på The Hype Machine! Efter detta blev de omskrivna i brittiska The Independent och halva maj kommer att spenderas på vägarna i England. ”White Mountain” släpps i mars i Finland och i april i Sverige med distribution av Border."

"This isn’t what I expect to sound a band from Finland to sound like. That said, I don’t really know what I would expect Finnish music to sound like. Cats on Fire don’t really fit the perception either, but at least they sound somewhat foreign in the vocals. This could be any band from the American mid-south. Well, not quite any band as most wouldn’t end up sounding as good as this. This is good, rollicking rock ‘n’ roll. So good it even gets away with being four and a half minutes, which is usually about a minute and a half too long for such things." Another Form of Relief (UK)

Kiki Pau on The Independent
"Helsinki indie rock group Kiki Pau is another top talked-about artist of the moment. The band's second album, White Mountain, is due out in March, and the free track "An Old Song" is available in advance of the release. The single was shared as part of the Music Alliance Pact, by which bloggers from around the world share one track per month from their home countries. According to the MAP description, White Mountain "channels the classic sound of T.Rex, The Velvet Underground and left-field US guitar gods such as Pavement and Guide By Voices without forgetting a twist of Finnish pop."
